Kansas is often overlooked when it comes to vacation destinations, but there are plenty of very nice campgrounds in the woods we think you'll really enjoy. Here is a list of a few campgrounds in Kansas to check out next time you are loading up the car for a trip into the wilderness:

  • Kanopolis Lake State Park, Marquette, KS: With unique caves to explore and miles of hiking trails, this state park in Kansas is a wonderful place to camp. While they do have tent camping spots available, they also have cabins for rent for year-round camping.
  • Fall River State Park, Fall River, KS: A lake campground is always a great choice if you love to kayak or to spend a quiet morning or evening with a fishing pole and a little peace and quiet.
