Today, we’ve got another 50s themed restaurant for us to enjoy, and we can relax while we take a step back in time to the good old days for a while. This spot that originally opened in 1943, and has remained a charming 50s-themed diner ever since.

They serve the type of homemade sandwiches that are made with love and care, as if it had been made by family. Of course, they're served alongside sides you'd expect at the most delicious picnic.

In the winter, they serve homemade soups that rival those sandwiches we just mentioned, and they go perfectly together.

As with any hometown Kansas diner, they serve homemade pie to wrap up their amazing meals.

It's fun for any age to step back in time for a short while and think back to the simpler days, when sitting at a counter with a malt was the best thing to look forward to.

You'll find Traditions Soda & Sandwich Shop open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and closing an hour early at 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
