Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). Did you know we’ve got plenty of caves in Kansas? We may be better known for our weird and wacky rock formations, like those at the mighty Chalk Pyramids or Mushroom Rock State Park, but there are lots of cool caves here, too. If you’re a big fan of them, you’ll definitely want to check out this day trip to several great caves in the central Kansas area. It’s a great way to explore some of the prettiest areas of the state, all in one 15,000-acre state park: Kanopolis State Park in Ellsworth County.
