There's always something to do in Iowa's lively cities. Council Bluffs is no exception, and with lots of restaurants, shops, parks, and historic sites, it's sure to be a great destination. When you're looking for a fun park in Council Bluffs, visit Bayliss Park and you'll quickly see why this is one of the most iconic spots in town.
Beautiful Bayliss Park is one of Iowa's most impressive city parks. Located in the heart of Council Bluffs, this is a slice of summertime paradise.
The centerpiece of the park is an enormous fountain. It's one of the most photographed fountains in the Midwest.
Throughout the summer, the park becomes a splash pad and sunshine oasis. Kids of all ages come here to enjoy the water features and family activities.
There's four acres of space to explore, and the walking paths are lovely and shady on a hot summer day.
The park is home to more than just a splash pad! You'll find two historic monuments here, and Veterans Park across the street is worth a visit, too.
Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the fresh air on one of the bistro tables or picnic tables that surround the fountain.
On Thursday afternoons, a Farmers Market takes over the space, and there's frequently live music in the Bandstand area. Bayliss Park is truly a gem!
