Celebrate The Migration Of Indiana Hummingbirds At This Fun Summer Festival

Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Indiana is home to quite literally hundreds – if not more – of species of birds. Among all those avian friends of ours, the tiny hummingbird seems to command big respect for such a little creature. But, come on – who wouldn’t be enchanted by something so beautiful (and cute) but powerful (those little wings beat 10-15 times per second; try beating that with push-ups)? I know I am – and apparently, we’re not alone; on August 5th, 2023, you’ll want to head over to the Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary in Connersville for the best little hummingbird festival in Indiana.
The Hummingbird Migration Celebration takes place on August 5th, 2023, and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about the festival, as well as your tickets, be sure to visit the official Eventbrite listing. To learn more about the sanctuary, visit the official Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary website.
