1. Local Eatery & Pub (Carmel)
This Carmel spot features a farm-to-table menu full of innovative spins on classic American dishes. The rotating menu affords the opportunity to try something new every time you sit down. Local is also known for its delicious and unique craft cocktails and beers.

2. Asaka (Castleton)
Known as one of the city’s best Japanese restaurants, Asaka offers authentic sushi that you can enjoy in a traditional dining setting, floor seating and all. Asaka also features specials throughout the week, including an excellent happy hour, where all sushi is half-price.

3. Delicia (SoBro)
At Delicia, you’ll find eclectic dishes inspired by Latin American culture. Featuring items like chorizo omelettes, chilaquiles, and hues rancheros, you’ll want to stop here for brunch when you’re in the SoBro area. Expect a wait during busy hours, as this spot doesn’t take reservations.

4. Brugge Brasserie (Broad Ripple)
One of the city’s few spots offering hearty Belgian foods, this brewpub is the perfect place to stop during a day out with friends. You’ll not only find filling foods like mitraillettes (French bread sandwiches), but also small-batch beers and a good wine selection.

5. The Eagle (Mass Ave)
For delicious fried chicken and dangerously delicious craft cocktails, you’ll want to check out The Eagle. Aside from the chicken, you’ll definitely want to try the Southern-inspired sides, like collards, white cheddar grits, and spoonbread. During the warmer days of the year, you can enjoy it all out on the patio.

6. Kuma’s Corner (Fountain Square)
Born in Chicago, this amazing burger joint has built its first location outside of Illinois right here in Fountain Square. Featuring an aesthetic that honors and supports heavy rock and metal music, you’ll be in heaven here if you enjoy those type of tunes. Even if you don’t, you have to get here at least once to try their unique burgers, like the High on Fire, which features roasted red pepper, prosciutto, grilled pineapple, and Sriracha hot sauce.

7. Milktooth (Fletcher Place)
There’s simply no better brunch spot in Indianapolis than Milktooth. Located in downtown’s Fletcher Place neighborhood, this restaurant features unique spins on classic brunch items, including a pearl sugar and sourdough lemon poppyseed waffle. It’s a must-try! If you’re a coffee lover, Milktooth makes one of the best espressos in the entire state.

8. Cafe Patachou (Meridian-Kessler)
A long-time resident of the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood, Patachou has expanded to other locations throughout the city. However, it’s this original location that remains one of the best spots to eat in the neighborhood. Here, you’ll find amazing specialties like duck confit hash and apple fritter French toast.
