One of my favorite parts of the holidays season is sinking my teeth into some delicious pieces of Hoosier pie, whether it be the famous sugar cream pie, pumpkin, fruit, or another decadent option. Whether homemade or store bought, this holiday favorite definitely makes this time of year more magical. Indiana Foodways Alliance compiled an incredible Hoosier pie trail to explore, and we’re giving you the details on some of the most notable stops:

You'll find some of the most incredible handmade pies at this little eatery. With a ride range of selections from chocolate pecan and harvest moon to pumpkin cream and peanut butter, your new favorite holiday dessert can easily be found here. This amazing restaurant and shop is only open limited hours during the day, but is well worth the stop for a piece of their delicious pies. From butterscotch and rhubarb to blueberry crumb, you'll want to settle in with a delicious pie while browsing their amazing selection of gifts. Find them at 1013 Meridian St, Anderson, IN 46016.


This notable cafeteria is a great place to grab a hearty, home-style meal. It's also an amazing place to find great slices of a variety of pies. From strawberry to lemon to seasonal varieties, you can sample some of the best pies in the state here. Find it at 555 S Indiana St, Mooresville, IN 46158.


When it comes to presentation and taste, no shop comes close to Lisa's. These artfully decorated pies are so beautiful, you'll hesitate before eating them (but don't - you definitely want to eat them!). If you're looking for a dessert to impress, order your next pie from Lisa's. You'll find this shop at 5995 S US Highway 31, Atlanta, Indiana.


This hidden gem offers incredible food and even better pies. The best part is, you don't have to choose between any of your favorite flavors since they offer a huge variety of mini pies. Check them out at 217 Ohio St, Rockville, Indiana.


No Hoosier pie trail would be complete without including the famous Mrs. Wick's. This legendary pie shop has a tremendous selection of pies to cater to every taste - they even offer sugar free pies. Mrs. Wick's is also rumored to have the best sugar cream pie in the state, so be sure to try it for yourself at 100 S Cherry St, Winchester, IN 47394.


This little known, small town restaurant has a few tricks up its sleeve - and one of them is their delicious pies! If you're ever in the area, grab a bite and don't skip dessert at this local find. You can visit at 7815 N Old 27, Lake George, Fremont, IN 46737.


This amazing little farm offers some of the best pies in the state. You'll love their fruit, crumb, or cream pies and definitely should try their famous Kentucky pie. If you're a dessert snob, you'll find your new favorite pie here. Check them out at 2034 17th St, Columbus, Indiana.
