Indianapolis is one of those cities that doesn't get enough credit. Way too many travelers simply straight-up forget it exists, or worse, they ignore it; I can't help but feel like this is a bit unfair. Sure, Indy gets credit where it's due - we ARE the home of the famed Indy 500, after all - but when it comes to its vacation quota, it typically falls tragically short. But guess what: I've found a little cottage that's so charming and adorable you'll be clambering to start planning your next escape... to Indianapolis, of all places. Come fall in love with the downright cutest vacation home rental in Indianapolis, and discover all the reasons why this city is simply the best.
Indianapolis is an amazingly vibrant city with plenty to do, see, and experience.
This delightful little cottage - a small guest house on a larger property - is the perfect home base for your adventures.
The place is small- just 700 square feet.
But somehow, it still manages to be spacious; this beautiful little Indianapolis escape has two cozy beds and is perfect for solo travelers or couples.
Between the abnormally high levels of coziness and the softness of the beds, I'm pretty sure you won't want to leave... but you really should go explore the city.
The cottage is conveniently close to just about everything you could ever hope for during your adventures in Indy.
First and foremost, the gardens of the property the cottage is on are jaw-dropping.
The best time of year for meandering around the garden is spring and summer, but no matter what time of year it is, it's bound to be breathtaking anyway.
So, what makes Indianapolis such a delight to explore? Lots of things; after all, it really is one of the most unique cities in the U.S. There's plenty to do and lots to see - you'll love it.
One of the nearby must-do attractions is none other than the legendary Mass Ave.
Also called Massachusetts Avenue, this is Indianapolis's arts and eats hub. Here, you'll find shops and restaurants you'll never find anywhere else; it's a great place for shopping or even just wandering. Gotta get those steps in? Mass Ave. Hungry? Mass Ave. Bored? Mass Ave. It's simple.
Another must-do nearby is the Monon Rail Trail, which is easily one of the most famous trails in Indiana (and for good reason).
At just over 27 miles long, this stunning trail is perfect for walking, hiking, running, and biking. It shows off the stunning countryside in and around Indy in all the best ways; this one's a must-see for visitors especially. And then, at the end of the day... you know you get to return to a cute little cottage.
