Powers Hamburgers in northeast Indiana is a local legend that has been in business since 1940. Over the years, it has been featured on TV, in books, and in news articles. It definitely belongs on every Hoosier's bucket list.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and you can eat-in or carry-out. It's not the most spacious eatery, but it's worth stopping in to get a taste of the delicious food.
The restaurant is most famous for selling the best sliders in the world (arguably). Similar to White Castle, each patty is cooked in a sea of onions and spices to give it that special flavor.
Other menu items include chili, coney dogs, and ham and cheese on a bun. Chips, pie, ice cream, coffee, juice, milk, and soft drinks are also available. Breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m. six days a week, and guests can get omelets, hash browns, bacon, ham, biscuits and gravy, pastries, and other classic morning eats.
