Make Your Summer A Little Sweeter With Some Gourmet Ice Cream From The Frosty Cow In Illinois
When the weather gets a bit warmer and sunnier and we spend most of our days outside, we tend to seek out ways to cool off. Sure, a dip in a lake, pond, river, or pool is a great way to find relief, but another way is a bit better, a bit sweeter, and tastier: ice cream! Open since 2019, The Frosty Cow is an unassuming seasonal ice cream shop located off the square in Greenview, about 24 miles north of Springfield.
The daily menu of available soft serve and hard flavors is posted on the board. Pick a flavor or flavors and get a cup or a cone. Pints and quarts are also available if you want to take some home.
With so many innovative gourmet flavors, it may be hard to choose what to get. One of the latest flavors, Cow Tippin', is vanilla ice cream with caramel-filled chocolate cups and caramel swirl. And then there's Traffic Cone Blues, a blueberry muffin ice cream with chocolate-covered waffle cone pieces and blueberries. You won't find flavors like these anywhere else!
Try a Whiteout made with soft-serve ice cream blended with a topping of your choice. Pictured here is a Whiteout with cotton candy which is as pretty as it is delicious. But there are many other options you can try like cupcake, brownie, or cheesecake bites, a variety of candy, and cookie dough.
You can also order a milkshake, a float made with either Coke or root beer, or a sundae. Pictured here is a Caramel Apple Sundae, but you'll have to check the list of daily offerings to see what's available.
