And one place you must visit in Arthur is The Homestead Bakery where you can pick up some homemade Amish goods that alone are worth the drive.
Since 2006, The Homestead Bakery has been baking homemade Amish treats year-round in the heart of the Illinois Amish country. It's located at the same place as The Great Pumpkin Patch, a seasonal attraction in Arthur.
Maybe you'll opt for a gooey, sticky pecan roll instead. It's basically a cinnamon roll smothered in caramel and pecans, one of the most indulgent treats offered at The Homestead Bakery.
This shop also offers 18 flavors of Angel Food Cake including chocolate chip, lemon, raspberry, strawberry, and confetti. You can pick one up for yourself or as a gift.
