One thing Illinoisans look forward to each year are street fairs. These fabulous events take place throughout the state at all different times, and we’ve got six everyone is looking forward to most.

1. Manhattan Irish Fest, Manhattan

Visit downtown Aledo June 1-2, 2018 for a one of the most delicious street fairs in Illinois. 5. Superman Celebration, Metropolis
June 7-10, 2018, stop by Superman's home town. Nothing says Illinois like this guy. The town of Metropolis is located in Southern Illinois and is full of Superman memorabilia year round. The festival includes impersonators, a carnival, a parade, and more. Get more information at
6. Custer Fair, Evanston
Taking place June 16-17, 2018, this street festival includes more than 350 art and food vendors as well as performers. It is a historical event that has been going on in the suburb just north of Chicago along the lake since 1972. Learn more at
