Situated in the northeast corner of the state, Starship Restaurant was established in 1977 as a little local soup and sandwich shop. It has since become a local favorite that serves the greater Chicago area.
This to-go shop is known for its unique sandwiches that pair with more than 150 varieties of soup. It is also recognized for its Star Trek theme that is found in everything from the name of the restaurant to the names of the sandwiches.

When it comes to menu items, you'll find all the classics of any proper sammie shop. If you're looking for a sausage sandwich, you find several ways to enjoy one here. The restaurant's signature sandwich is the Ski Bomber, which consists of a Polish sausage topped with cheese, onions, hot peppers, mustard, tomatoes, and a pickle spear.
You can also get an Italian sausage sandwich with or without cheese and marinara sauce on top of garlic bread.
