Book Rack in central Illinois is a marvelous used book store that the locals don't want you to know about. Each day, the owner sets out a collection of free books that are first-come, first-serve.
In business since 1980, the store has been handed down three times to worthy book lovers who have kept it going for decades. The shop houses books from every genre including young adult, horror, best sellers, fantasy, children's books, and even gaming manuals.

Most books found within the store are just $2 or $4 with the highest priced books costing about $6. Another way to get free books is to stop in during the week of your birthday for a free title of your choice.
The shop hosts a book club twice each month as well. It takes place every other Thursday at the shop at 6:30 p.m., and you can sign up through its Facebook page (link below).
