This Restaurant In Illinois Used To Be A Service Center And You’ll Want To Visit
A former service station in Chicago has been transformed into a trendy Mexican restaurant while retaining its industrial garage flair.
In the 1940s, the Pierce Service Station serviced vehicles in Chicago. But after sitting dormant, it became a Mexican restaurant. And it didn't just become any Mexican restaurant, either. It led the trend of taquerias. Now it's this upscale kind of joint, but still retains that garage flair.
The restaurant started out with humble beginnings.
But it soon was revitalized into the trendy place it is today.
When you go inside, you can still see the imprint of the garage.
It is incredibly industrial.
Even the walls are basic.
But the food is spectacular.
Everything, from the tacos to flautas to posole, is phenomenal.
You definitely won't feel like you're eating in a former garage, but it is incredible to think about what this place once was.
