Start your winter season off on the right foot and check out this epic tube ride at one of Idaho’s most spectacular mountains. The tubing hill at Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg is bound to give you some thrills that you remember for years to come so pull on your snow pants and check it out!
It may not even be December yet, but snow is already popping up in certain regions of Idaho. Silver Mountain Resort is planning to open up to visitors on November 23rd, and that includes the opening of their amazing snow tubing hill.
Silver Mountain is a beloved skiing destination near the North Idaho town of Kellogg. However, there's plenty to do here for non-skiers. With an annual snowfall of more than 300 inches, this resort is like a giant winter playground and tubing is one of the most popular activities.
Boasting a 700-foot tall tubing hill, this is one tube ride that will have you screaming with glee from start to finish. Both kids and adults will be absolutely enamored by the endless fun this hill has to offer.
The best thing about tubing is the fact that everybody can do it—well, everybody over 36" tall and older than two years old. All you have to do is sit in the tube, push off, and enjoy the rush of sliding down the hill at top speed.
Be sure to enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains as you zoom down the hill. If the rush of adrenaline doesn't take your breath away, this view sure will! Silver Mountain Resort sits at an elevation of 6,297-feet and panoramas are simply gorgeous.
The tubing hill is comprised of four different runs that are bound to get your blood flowing. Make it your mission to try them all!
After reaching the bottom, simply hop onto the moving carpet lift that will take you back up to the top. This makes it nice and easy to experience the thrills of the hill again and again while saving your energy for what matters.
The snow tube park is open most weekends and holidays throughout the season, but be sure to check out their calendar ahead of time. Snow tubing sessions are two hours in length starting at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, and 1:00 pm. An additional tubing session is available on Saturdays at 3:00 pm. Silver Mountain is located at 610 Bunker Ave, Kellogg, ID 83837.
