Try The Ultimate Nighttime Adventure With Night Snow Tubing At Schweitzer Mountain In Idaho
Every year as the snow begins to fall, Schweitzer Mountain becomes a hot spot of endless winter fun. Located in Sandpoint, the mountain resort attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from both far and wide every winter season. Not only is it considered the largest ski area in both Idaho and Washington, but the mountain also regularly sees record-breaking snowfalls. That means there is a ton of snowy fun waiting to be had here, and not only for skiers. Snow tubing is also a popular activity at Schweitzer, and their unique night snow tubing option makes it more fun than ever.
Schweitzer Mountain Resort is the ultimate winter wonderland, boasting unique and thrilling experiences for anyone and everyone. Skiing, snowboarding, snowbiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling—this mountain has it all!
However, one of the resort's most beloved experiences can be found at the Hermits Hollow Tubing Center. This two-lane tubing park boasts endless fun for tubers as they race down the 100-yard-long lanes.
Tubing is a popular wintertime experience for Idahoans, especially for families with young children due to its ease and accessibility. Schweitzer offers day tubing sessions that last 1.5-hours for the price of $15 for adults and $10 for children.
Snow tubing is definitely a blast but you truly haven't lived until you've experienced it at nighttime. Schweitzer Mountain offers a unique night tubing option, and it's somehow even MORE fun than day tubing.
Night tubing at Schweitzer costs $20 for adults and $15 for children. It's slightly more expensive than day tubing, but you receive a 2.5-hour session instead of a 1.5-hour session. Not to mention, the thrill of riding down a snowy mountain underneath a brilliant Idaho night sky is unlike anything you've experienced before.
Just be sure to bundle up accordingly, since the mountain obviously gets freezing cold at night. If you need to warm up, you can always take some time to roast marshmallows by the fire in between tubing runs. Your extremities may be numb by the end of the evening, but the fun makes it SO worth it.
Night tubing takes place on select days of the season from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can see the complete schedule of all tubing sessions at the Schweitzer website
here. Take your winter to the next level and be sure to add night snow tubing to your bucket list!
