Here in Idaho, we take winter recreation seriously. Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, we have it all. However, one of our favorite winter activities is snow tubing. Not only is tubing super fun, but it doesn’t require any special skills and pretty much anybody can do it. All you need to do is sit down, push off, and enjoy zooming down the hill at top speeds! We’re lucky to live in a state that boasts plenty of tubing opportunities, but the unique winter recreation park featured below is one of our absolute favorite tubing hills in Idaho. Not only do we consider this the best snow tubing in Idaho, but the country as well.

What are the best ski resorts in Idaho to visit?
When planning an upcoming ski trip in the Gem State, there are several incredible ski resorts in Idaho to consider. One of the most well-known in the Gem State is Sun Valley Resort. Not only will you want to spend some time on the slopes, but give yourself plenty of time to wander through the historic resort village as well. Plus, we suggest booking an overnight stay at the Sun Valley Lodge. This was once home to novelist Ernest Hemingway and you can even book a stay in his old room if you desire.
In the northern part of the state, you will find Schweitzer Mountain Resort. This is one of the largest ski resorts in Idaho with nearly 3,000 skiable acres. The annual snowfall at Schweitzer Mountain Resort is 300 inches, which is quite impressive. You’ll want to visit this ski resort to enjoy twilight skiing and to experience some of the best tubing hills in Idaho at Hermit’s Hollow.

There are some pretty incredible sled riding hills in Idaho. In Idaho Falls, for example, head to Freeman Park. After a good snowfall, this park comes alive with individuals of all ages who are soaring down the hills on sleds of all types and sizes. Just be mindful of all the roads that weave throughout this park and keep a close eye on young children.
Cherry Hill Park in Coeur d’Alene is another favorite sled riding hill in Idaho. However, this area can become quite busy after a good snowfall. You’ll want to arrive early to find the best sledding snow.
