If you love museums, there are dozens of excellent places to visit all around the state. But, tucked away in the heart of Idaho Falls is one of the most unique and unusual — a collector’s museum. Collectors' Corner Museum features more than 100 collections of various objects. You’ll find everything from coin collections to stuffed animal collections to even a mechanical monkey collection. If you want to see a little of everything, this is the place the go.
When you first arrive at the Collectors’ Corner Museum in Idaho Falls, it doesn’t look like much. In fact, you may not even know it is there as it is nestled in a neighborhood on John Adams Parkway.
But, once you walk inside, it is actually quite a sight.
The name of this museum perfectly describes what you will see as you wander around this building — corners filled with collections. There are more than 115 different collections throughout the museum.
The museum is owned by Jim and Nida Gyorfy who have collected items their entire lives. They decided to open the museum in 2003 to showcase many of their incredible belongings.
While many of the collections are the Gyorfy’s, there are dozens that other individuals have dropped off as well.
Some of the collections are large and feature dozens of objects, while some are a little smaller. But all of the collections are quite impressive and very fun to check out. Throughout the entire museum, there are thousands of items, including many rare items.
Some of the items you may have forgotten about or have not seen for years like Beanie Babies, Precious Moments figurines, and Troll dolls.
One of the favorite collections at this museum is a Barbie doll collection. This collection has its own room in the back of the museum and here, you’ll find hundreds of items.
The Collectors' Collection Museum also has a feature room where you can find special collections that rotate throughout the year.
With thousands of items to see and hundreds of collections to admire, this museum is a hidden gem in Idaho that is just waiting to be discovered!
