The Wailoa River State Recreation Area Bridges is a stunning architectural piece that's gorgeous to behold and to walk over.
The trail itself is an easy one.
It's only .7 miles long, out and back, and usually doesn't take much longer than 15 minutes to complete. It's also paved most of the way and is easy to navigate.
The elevation gain is negligible, coming in at only 32 feet total.
This is an easy walk over these fun, retro-style bridges that the whole family will love. Even the four-legged members, because dogs are welcome, too!
If you visit when the weather is calm, be prepared to take photos when you reach the middle.
The calm surface of the water provides a spectacular view and can amplify the beauty around you. It's a beautiful place to enjoy all year long.
There is no entrance fee to enjoy the park.
And there's plenty of parking in the lot, although it can get busier if there's an event in the park. The park pavilion is available for day use, where you can rent it at an hourly rate.
This beautiful place makes for a great walk, no matter the time of day.
