1. Amicalola Falls
The trip starts and ends, at Amicalola Falls, one of the top-rated waterfalls in the state of Georgia. Amicalola, which is Cherokee for "tumbling waters," has more than seven falls in the State Park, including the tallest in Georgia at over 700ft.
2. DeSoto Falls
DeSoto Falls, located in the Chattahoochee National Forest, is a wonderful display of nature in all its glory. The falls itself was named after the Spanish explorer Hernando Desoto, who traveled during the 16th century.
3. Helton Creek Falls
Located near Vogel State Park, Helton Creek Falls is a popular attraction for families, primarily because of the pool at the bottom of the falls--which you can swim in. 5. Anna Ruby Falls
Anna Ruby Falls is a local favorite in Helen, Georgia. There's a fairly simple hike involved, but around a half-mile from the parking lot, you'll be right at the base of the falls.
6. Panther Creek Falls
