This Restaurant In A Former Georgia Church Offers An Unforgettable Dining Experience

Restaurants that used to be something else are fascinating places to go. It’s so neat to look around the building and see remnants of the building’s former life, whether it’s a Greyhound bus station turned fine dining establishment or a bank vault that now serves Asian fusion. One other restaurant in Georgia that used to be something else is A Taste of Lemon Restaurant in LaGrange. This building used to be a church, and now serves up good old-fashioned Southern cooking like you’d expect from a Georgia eatery.

A Taste of Lemon makes no secret about its former life. It definitely still resembles a church outside (and in!).

This was once the Second Methodist Church. Built in 1892, the historic building now houses the restaurant that's known as LaGrange's "best kept secret."
Inside, you'll find a bright and airy spot that still features an old pew and even some stained glass windows.
