You Must Taste The Barbecue At This Unique Restaurant In Georgia

It goes without saying that the Peach State is full of good barbecue: it's one of the foods the South is known for, after all. One of our favorite barbecue restaurants in Georgia is Jomax BBQ in Metter. This small town is located about an hour inland of Savannah and is a popular stopover point for travelers heading from Atlanta to Savannah or vice versa. The restaurant isn't far from Banks Lake, and less than half a mile from the Metter Welcome Center.  And what better way to welcome yourself into this little town than to stop by this spot and enjoy some delicious barbecue?

This old-fashioned spot doesn't look like anything fancy from the outside. It's quite plain, and lacks a flashy sign or lots of colorful decor.

The inside's got a great cozy atmosphere that will make you feel right at home.

There's even a fireplace you can cozy up beside in the colder months!

It's the perfect complement to the freshly-cooked BBQ and sides you'll find available on the menu.

There aren't a ton of bells and whistles here, but you will find great food at very reasonable prices.

The serving sizes are plentiful: come hungry and leave full!

You'll find plenty of great sides to choose from. The chicken fingers, fries, creamed corn, and macaroni and cheese are all quite popular.
