We love discovering great hikes in Georgia. If you ask me, there’s nothing better than getting out and enjoying nature while getting a bit of exercise in. It’s especially magical when you manage to come across a trail that’s a bit lesser-known and won’t have all the crowds you might find at our more popular state parks. The hike we’re featuring today is one of the best trails near Augusta, GA: the Rock Dam Trail at Mistletoe State Park. This is one of the state’s most underrated parks. It’s home to 1,972 acres of land along Lake Strom Thurmond (also known as Clarks Hill Lake), and has so many great opportunities for recreation, including camping, bass fishing, and eight miles of hiking trails. The Rock Dam Trail is a great option for those seeking a moderately difficult hike. Check it out:
