This Zoo In Georgia Is Also A Park And It’s Fun For The Whole Family

Looking for a family-friendly attraction in Georgia that’s fun for kids and parents alike? Chehaw Park and Zoo in Albany is a great option. This park truly has it all: with over 800 acres of outdoor fun, you can find just about everything here. There’s a splash pad for warmer months, playgrounds, disc golf, an RC racetrack, and a massive zoo housing tons of exotic animals. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with kids or teenagers, this place is a blast!

This is such a fun day trip in Georgia! The park has so much to offer visitors of all ages. It's one of only two accredited zoos in Georgia.

You can find 234 individual animals living at Chehaw Park, ranging from tiny tarantulas on up to the massive black rhinoceros.

Some of the critters may be ones you've come in contact with before, like domestic cows or guinea pigs, but we're betting you don't see cheetahs every day!
Prefer to see animals out and about in the wild? There are tons of nature trails here where you can keep an eye out for wild birds and other critters.

The play and splash park is one of the largest in South Georgia. There are shaded areas for adults to cool down and supervise.
