You’ll Be Transported To An Italian Villaggio At This Top-Rated Restaurant In Wyoming

At some point during the year, many of us will find ourselves dreaming of escaping to a faraway place: a white, sandy beach in Greece, a quaint café in Paris … but a European getaway doesn't have to mean jet-setting overseas! Wyoming may not often get credit for its diverse and authentic array of international cuisines, but the Cowboy State has a plethora of dining options for those looking to indulge in a more global palate. If you're craving a taste of Old World Europe, settle in for a home-cooked meal at Bella's Bistro in Saratoga, a fantastic local restaurant that oozes all the charm, ambiance, and flavors of a rustic Villaggio in Italy.

The allure of European dining is romanticized for good reason. Fortunately for Wyomingites, a slice of Italy itself is tucked away right here in Saratoga.

The colorful residential home is reminiscent of the quaint mom-and-pop eateries found all over Europe.

Chef-owner, Tommy, and his wife, Cassie, both know their way around the kitchen, with Tommy having been trained under a number of European chefs.

Inside, familiar Italian dishes and indulgent European classics are each given a unique Wyoming twist, with a particular emphasis on the flavors of Tuscany.

Every dish is crafted with as many local ingredients as possible, like greens and spirits from nearby Brush Creek and rich cheeses from Medicine Bow Creamery. The attention to quality can be both seen AND tasted.

Here, diners can indulge in any number of Italian dishes and unique, seasonally-inspired creations. Think divine Chicken Marsala, Gnocchi Strascicate, and Sausage Arrabiata, as well as homestyle favorites like lasagna.

We highly recommend trying every pasta dish on the menu here. You can't go wrong!

Feeling adventurous? Dig into something new! Perhaps a hearty dish of lobster ravioli or blue crab-topped swordfish with roasted garlic beurre blanc.

If you're leaning toward the Wyoming end of the Italian spectrum, you'll definitely want to tuck into a Tagliata steak topped with sautéed Chianti mushrooms, smoked bacon, and gorgonzola gratinée.

But it wouldn't be a taste of Italy without some fluffy, house-made Foccacia bread to go with your meal!

Try one of Bella's expertly paired wines or a refreshing signature cocktail like the Mid-Winter Mojito (pictured).

Just don't leave without sampling a cannoli or two for dessert!

Delizioso! Authentic Italian right here in Wyoming? Say no more! Our carb-loving hearts are already en route for another helping. Check out Bella's Bistro's latest menu and hours on their website.

Make your evening complete with a stay at this rustic and spacious homestead. In fact, you might even want to hop on over to soak in Saratoga Hot Springs!
