The Hotel Becker was built in 1905, and soon became the Hotel Albany. The hotel's restaurant and bar was known as the Depot Exchange Cafe, the Kabis Cafe, and the Stockman's Bar before embracing the hotel's name entirely.
In 1942, the Kallas family took over ownership, and then maintained it for decades. In 2021, the Bau family purchased the restaurant and plans to continue the time-honored traditions that have made this restaurant a Cheyenne landmark.
Today, this restaurant is one of the oldest in the state, and people flock from all over to try their delicious and famous Prime Rib.
