Tom’s Drive In has been a fixture in Appleton for a very long time. It was founded back in 1960 by Tom Grishaber, and his wife Corinne.

The original location was located near Telulah Park on the city’s south side. It was originally a seasonal restaurant and it was a big hit with Fox Cities residents.

Back then, you could enjoy a great meal for pocket change. Burgers cost 15 cents, as did French fries. Milkshakes cost just 20 cents.

A lot of time has passed, and the menu prices have changed, but Tom’s Drive In is still a great value. For the price of burger and fries at some restaurants, you can order a whole sack of them – six burgers and a box of fries. It’s a special that’s been on the menu since Tom’s earliest days.

This special might be all you every need to order. But there’s a lot more on the menu than sacks of burgers. It has all the classics, like hot dogs, cheese curds, chicken sandwiches, onion rings, and mini corn dogs.

Save room for something sweet. Tom’s also has great cones, shakes, malts, floats, sundaes, and more.
