The Oldest Deli In Wisconsin, Kurtz’s Pub And Deli Will Take You Straight To Sandwich Heaven

Kurtz’s Pub and Deli in Two Rivers, established in 1904, offers a historic and hearty sandwich experience with quality ingredients and a full bar.

If you thought all sandwiches were created equal, think again! At Kurtz's Pub and Deli, the lunchtime classic is transformed into a hearty meal thanks to quality meats, fresh toppings, and delicious bread. And it’s no coincidence that Kurtz’s makes epic sandwiches. The eatery has been open since the early 1900s, making it one of the oldest delis in the state. Take a look:

Great delis are scattered throughout the Badger State. But if you’re looking for one of the oldest, you’ll have to head to Two Rivers’ Kurtz’s Pub and Deli.

The historic pub-and-deli combo has only been at its present location since 1968; however, the eatery has been around much longer – Kurtz’s Pub and Deli was established back in 1904!

Honoring its pub roots, the interior boasts lots of wood accents. An array of colorful artwork adorns the walls, brightening things up a bit.

As you peruse the menu, you’ll be treated to a bit of a history lesson about Kurtz’s Pub and Deli – complete with pictures.

But vintage photos aren’t the only thing on the menu that’ll pique your interest. There’s also the tasty fare, which includes a variety of appetizers, soups, salads, wraps, hot dogs, and...

...an impressive sandwich selection that includes hot and cold options.

In addition to classics, like the BLT and Reuben sandwich, the menu includes signature creations, such as the Cran-Turkey. Described as Thanksgiving on a bun, it's made by piling turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese and homemade pecan cranberry mayo on toasted focaccia bread.

Though the toppings will vary, every sandwich has something in common – they all come with your choice of kettle chips, Kurtz’s famous potato salad, or German potato salad.

You can also substitute your choice of bread with any sandwich. Definitely a hard decision to make, the bread selection includes light rye, pretzel buns, focaccia, fresh-baked sourdough, French bread, and croissants.

Of course, you’ll need something to wash down your sandwich. Luckily, Kurtz’s boasts a full bar, German beer on tap, and an extensive list of mixed drinks. The beverage offering also includes homemade lemonade.

Satisfying diners for over a century, Kurtz's Pub and Deli is basically the best thing since sliced bread - and it's been around for nearly as long.

Kurtz’s Pub and Deli is currently open for curbside pick-up, which begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday – Saturday. For more information or to place an order, call (920) 793-1222. You can also visit Kurtz's Pub And Deli Facebook page.
