This Floating Restaurant Is Returning To West Virginia And You’ll Want To Visit

Have you heard of The Barge restaurant on the Kanawha River? According to Yelp and the West Virginia Food Guy, this floating restaurant that closed in 2013 is being renovated and getting a new start.

For years, The Barge offered visitors an unique experience to dine right on a boat.

There were docking spaces for boats, so diners could either drive or float to the restaurant.

Inside, diners could enjoy scenic views of the river next to large windows.

Or they could eat outside on the patio or the deck of the boat.

Downstairs, the boat had a pub area with simple comfort foods and beers.

Upstairs was an area for fine dining and a more romantic atmosphere.
