The West Virginia Steakhouse In The Middle Of Nowhere, The Wonder Bar Steakhouse Is One Of The Best On Earth

The Wonder Bar Steakhouse is located on a hill along a wooded road between Clarksburg and Bridgeport. Opened in in 1946 by John and Betty Folio, this award winning restaurant is one of the best in the state.

Now owned by Daniel Watts, who remodeled the restaurant to resemble the dinner clubs popular in the '40s and '50s, the restaurant has the elegant decor to match its food.

The style and design provide an atmosphere that honors the origins of the restaurant and the time period in which it opened.

One of the newest additions to the restaurant is the dining patio, which provides an astonishing view of the hills of Harrison County. When the weather is cooperating, a seat outdoors is an absolute must.

And, of course, there is the food: juicy, mouthwatering steaks and chops cooked just the way you like them, not to mention their selections of seafood and Italian specialties. The also have many appetizers, soups and salads to round out the selection.

Wonder Bar won the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2013, 2014 and 2015. In addition to the food selections, the restaurant also has an expansive wine list, which earned it the Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence for 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
