All Aboard The Red Wine & Chocolate Tour, A Romantic Valentine’s Day Event In Washington
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Whidbey Island’s annual Red Wine and Chocolate Tour, featuring local wineries and distilleries.
Valentine's Day is right around the corner. And if you're looking for a unique way to celebrate with your special someone - or just an excuse to enjoy a little getaway - check out Whidbey Island's annual Red Wine and Chocolate Tour. Not only will you get to visit one of Washington's most beautiful spots, but you'll earn a whole new appreciation for the delicious duo of chocolate and vino.
Whidbey Island's Red Wine and Chocolate Tour has become a February tradition, and we couldn't be happier.
While this isn't the only red wine and chocolate event in Washington, it IS the only one that takes place on a beautiful island.
This year's festival dates are February 8-9 and February 15-16, so you'll have two chances to check it out.
Of course, no one will judge you if you decide to go both weekends.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 onsite. That fee includes a tasting glass, chocolate, and wine or spirits samples at all participating locations.
This year, four local wineries and two distilleries are participating.
Spoiled Dog Winery is a local favorite, and their wines are both high quality and affordable.
In addition to tasting plenty of delicious chocolate, spirits, and red wine, most participating places offer discounted bottles during the festival.
So if you taste something you can't live without, you can always get a few bottles to enjoy at home.
And if you'd like to make a romantic weekend of it, you can always spend a night or two on the island.
After all, the Red Wine and Chocolate Tour lasts for two days each weekend.
This delightfully delicious event runs from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. both weekends.
If you've never been, make this the year you go -- even if the "special someone" you bring is yourself.
