The Redd Dog in Tacoma offers a unique dining experience with a self-serve beer tap wall and Redd-inspired menu items.

It's nice to unwind over a tasty meal and a cold beer after a hard week. Dining out with friends is a great way to end the work week, and it's even better in a fun and lively atmosphere. The Redd Dog in Tacoma is just such a place. Inspired by a loveable Golden Lab named Redd, this iconic restaurant in Washington is the perfect spot for brews and bites. Read on to learn about Redd and his philosophy on life.

The Redd Dog is located at 2805 6th Avenue, Building A, Tacoma, Washington. Locations in Bellevue and Puyallup are opening soon.

Redd has a unique take on the traditional pub. A tap wall puts you in charge.

How does it work? I'm glad you asked. Guests 21+ check in with a Beerista to pick up a pour card. Place the card in the card reader and pour the brew of your choice. See the ounces poured and total cost in real-time. This makes it easy to keep track of your tab and drink responsibly.

Little touches of Redd are everywhere.

Even the charcuterie board features doggie details.

By now, you're probably wondering just who Redd is.

According to their website, Redd is a cool dude who crafts his own beer, loves camping, listening to vinyl, and nose-booping for attention. His favorite foods are apples and carrots, and his beer of choice is local, with a grassy aroma. He is a good boy who would rather play ball than anything else ... and he also loves playing ball, and fetching, and playing ball!

Of course, exceptional food is essential to a restaurant's success and The Redd Dog delivers. All menu items are Redd-approved and delicious.

Pizza is buy one, get one half off from 3 - 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday (excluding game days and special events).

I recommend the skillet mac and cheese, a decadent cheesy pasta topped with bacon, crumbled house chips, and scallions.

Although, you can't go wrong with a heaping dish of Redd's loaded tots drizzled with Sriracha.

So you see, The Redd Dog is the perfect place to sip and snack and an undeniably cool pup inspired it. Be like Redd. Grab life by the ball, and always remember, even if you're the runt of the litter, you can still grow up to do big things!
