That said, if you're craving a bit of fun with dinner, head to The Victor Tavern in South Lake Union. This one-of-a-kind eatery doesn't just serve great food— it's got a mezzanine of games, including pool, shuffleboard, and more!
The Victor is somewhat nondescript. Tucked opposite the Amazon Spheres, it's easy to walk past the tavern without realizing it. But, as yet another feather in local celebrity chef Ethan Stowell's cap, it's worth giving this modern pub a try.
With soaring ceilings, tall windows, and chic urban appeal, The Victor is a much-needed update to the traditional tavern. While it's casual enough to visit with friends, it's also an excellent option for a business lunch. Just make sure to let your boss beat you at shuffleboard upstairs!
As with the other eateries associated with Stowell, The Victor boasts a crave-worthy menu of bar classics, each given the celeb-chef zhuzh. Happy hour runs daily from 3 to 6 p.m., offering a broad selection from the dinner menu but at reduced costs.
If you're headed to Victor's, however, I recommend eschewing your usual health-consciousness. This spot is tailored towards indulgent offerings, a highlight of which includes the sublime polenta fries. They also offer 12 different kinds of burgers and sandwiches, meaning even the pickiest eaters leave satisfied.
Remember to head upstairs to the mezzanine during your visit! Not only is the spot filled with fun games for guests to play, but it also offers a great glimpse of the dining area below.
Though shuffleboard is a happy addition, as a bonafide pool shark, I think the pool tables are a necessary stop. After a game, I've decided all restaurants in Seattle worth their salt should have one.
