This Secluded Beachfront Restaurant In Washington Is One Of The Most Magical Places You’ll Ever Eat

We're so lucky to live near the ocean here in Washington... and we're even luckier to have charming beach towns perfect for relaxing weekend getaways or laid back living. If beachfront dining is something you love (and who wouldn't?), you'll have plenty of options here.

The Olympic Peninsula is home to some quiet, more subdued beaches, Moclips being one of them. And if you happen to be in the area, make it a point to enjoy a meal at the Ocean Crest Resort at 4651 State Route 109.

The Ocean Crest Restaurant reopened in 2014 after an unfortunate fire put them out of commission for three years.

The restaurant is mere steps from the Pacific Ocean, so the views from the restaurant are spectacular.

The food also happens to be delicious.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with the menu items rotating seasonally.

Occasionally the resort hosts Northwest Wine Maker Dinners, a must for Washingtonians who love fine dining and wine.

The wine list here has has been honored with awards from by the Washington Wine Commission and Wine Press Northwest.

If you go for dinner, order Grandma's Clam Chowder. It's an actual family recipe (yes, from Grandma).

This has been on the menu since 1953, and it's amazing after a day spent exploring the often chilly and cloudy coast.

With savory creations on the menu, excellent libations and views like this, it's safe to say the Ocean Crest delivers a magical dining experience.

And if you don't feel like driving after your lavish meal, you can book a room at the reasonably priced casual resort and wake up to more ocean views the next morning.

The Ocean Crest Restaurant should definitely be on your dining bucket list. And if you enjoy beachfront dining, here are some other great restaurant options in Washington.
