The Panoramic-View Restaurant on the Banks of Lake Bomoseen in Vermont Is a Must-Visit

The best lakeside dining in Vermont can be found on the banks of Lake Bomoseen, at the Lake House Pub & Grille.

As fall settles in, I find it's the perfect time for lakeside dining. The sweltering heat that filled summer days is fading away, but the weather is still warm enough to have a relaxed meal without food going cold quickly. And when it comes to lakeside dining in Vermont, there's no better spot than the Lake House Pub & Grille on the banks of Lake Bomoseen. This casual, seafood-forward restaurant is a popular spot with vacationers, offering stunning waterfront views and a menu that feels like it lives up to the view. While many lakeside restaurants are only open during the summer, this one is still going strong, and we can't wait to show you why this needs to be your next meal in the Green Mountain State.

The Lake House Pub & Grille is a massive local institution, offering indoor and outdoor dining on the banks of Lake Bomoseen. In fact, it's so close to the water that you can usually see boats parked only feet away if you're eating on the patio!

While many waterfront restaurants rely on the view to drive their business, The Lake House Pub & Grille clearly takes great pride in its menu and top-notch service, making it an institution that brings people back year after year.

The menu here trends towards lighter fare, celebrating local seafood and produce, but if you want a heartier meal, there are carnivore-friendly options, like burgers and ribs, available. It's a great place to take the whole family.

If there's a signature item, though, it would have to be the lobster roll; bursting with fresh lobster meat, it's a signature of New England and this place does it right.

It wouldn't be a lakeside pub without a great drink menu, and the one at this Vermont institution trends towards classics but with some real flair that makes them stand out. The spiked warm apple cider is calling my name, but if you don't drink, there's an extensive mocktails program, too.

If you're lucky, you'll get here a little later in the day, which will give you the chance to see one of the most amazing sunsets in the Green Mountain State from the deck.
