This Old-School Vermont Restaurant Serves Chicken Dinners To Die For

Enjoy a classic chicken dinner at Jensen's Family Restaurant, a beloved family-owned eatery in Bennington, Vermont.

Suffering from a gnawing hunger that nothing seems to satisfy? Sometimes, when we're really hungry, only a hot and hearty meal straight from the kitchen can fill us up. And, what's better than a classic chicken dinner, made just like mom or grandma used to make? Sink your teeth into a scrumptious chicken meal - fried or stuffed - at this charming, old school restaurant in Vermont.

Pull up a chair at Jensen's Family Restaurant, a family-owned and run eatery that's been a favorite Bennington spot since it opened in 1961.

Before it became Jensen's Family Restaurant, the cozy eatery started as a Root Beer Drive-In not far away, where carhops brought meals to hungry diners in their cars.

Today, you can still experience a taste of yesteryear, pairing your meal with a root beer float or a two-scoop milkshake.

Of course, we're here for the simply scrumptious chicken dinners. For a finger-licking good meal, order the fried chicken that comes with a vegetable and a potato of your choice and a roll.

Or, if you're not quite in the mood for classic fried chicken, try the stuffed chicken breast, chicken fried chicken, or the chicken cordon bleu.

The classic eatery also serves an assortment of comfort foods - hot dogs, mac and cheese, and roast beef sandwiches, for example.

Bringing the kids along? Then, check out the selection of kids' meals, ranging from grilled cheese and PB&J to hot dogs and spaghetti.

Dig into a scrumptious chicken dinner at Jensen's Family Restaurant, open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Jensen's Family Restaurant is located at 332 North St., Bennington, VT 05201.
