Utah has plenty of remote places where you'll find some real hidden gems. The little town of Mexican Hat is waaaay down in the southeastern corner of the Beehive State. It's a quaint little spot, but you might be surprised to see what we found there - a unique restaurant that serves up some tasty steak - and cooks it in the most unique way ever.
The Swingin' Steak is located in Mexican Hat at Highway 163 Main Avenue.
Dining is pretty much outdoors - right where the grill is.
This is the most unique grill you've ever seen - it swings over the flames to cook your meal to perfection.
The grill is attended by a cowboy chef, who keeps a close eye on your steak or burger, and grills up your toast, too.
All the cooking literally happens right here on the patio. The beans simmer on the antique stove, the salad is prepared at the counter and the steaks, of course, sizzle on the swinging grill.
The meals here are simple. Choose your cut of steak (or a burger), and you'll get beans, salad and grilled toast.
Enjoy live music every Sunday night.
The next time you're visiting Monument Valley, stop by the Swingin' Grill for a delicious dinner or lunch. Have you ever eaten here? Tell us about it!
