A Stunning Waterfront Restaurant In Texas, The Oasis Offers Magnificent Sunset Views
The Oasis on Lake Travis in Austin offers stunning waterfront dining with breathtaking sunsets and delicious Tex Mex cuisine.
I know us Texans usually don't give a lick what a restaurant looks like as long as the food is good, but what if we could have the best of both worlds? The Oasis on Lake Travis in Austin is quite possibly the most stunning waterfront restaurant in Texas. Check it out:
The Oasis has been deemed "The Sunset Capital of Texas," and I'm pretty sure this picture is a perfect example as to why.
Sunsets in Texas are always astonishing, but here they're even more magnificent.
People travel from all over the country to sit on the multi-tiered balcony, enjoy some amazing food and drinks, and witness quite possibly the most spectacular sunset they've ever seen and ever will see.
I recommend arriving early to snag a spot on the highly coveted fourth story. The panoramic view of the Texas Hill Country surrounding you is simply indescribable.
The restaurant has been around since 1982, and by 2005 had already grown into one of the largest restaurants in the world with a 2,800 person capacity.
Unfortunately, The Oasis was devastated by a fire later that year. The hardworking staff was able to keep it running with the use of a trailer and the outdoor entertainment area.
Today, this view serves as a daily reminder that darkness is only temporary and brighter days are ahead - a sentiment that surely helped the business through its catastrophe.
The food is something to write home about, too. You'll find all your favorites on the menu, from fat, juicy burgers...
...to nachos absolutely loaded with all the fixin's and everything in between!
The Oasis isn't just a great place to take in the view. It's also one of the best Tex Mex restaurants in Texas.
The Oasis is located at 6550 Comanche Trl Austin, Texas, TX 78732. To learn more about it, visit their website or Facebook page.
