The Comic Book Themed Restaurant In Texas That Will Bring Out Your Inner Super Hero

Comix Cafe in Tomball offers a nostalgic experience for superhero fans with comics, board games, and a variety of snacks and coffee.

People hardly read comic books anymore, but the characters are popular as ever. Comix Cafe, located in Tomball, recently opened its doors for superhero fans everywhere to come relive childhood memories while enjoying snacks and coffee.

Unassuming as can be, Comix Cafe is located in a strip center right off the highway. Owner Darrin Stringfield just opened the shop in August, bringing his childhood dream to life after a decade in the oil and gas industry.

Upon entrance, you'll notice three different areas: merchandise, a seating area, and the cafe. It's set up perfectly for guests to do a little reading or play some D&D while enjoying snacks and coffee, then stocking up on apparel before heading out.

On the walls are iconic comic books spanning the past several decades. Pick one up and unlock some of your fondest childhood memories.

Choose from a vast array of board games to play, free of charge, during your visit. Nostalgic favorites like Chutes and Ladders plus newer strategy challenges such as Catan keep all ages entertained.

Something has to fuel those long hours of tournaments and reading, so enter: coffee. Whether you're a sucker for latte art or prefer taking it straight black, there's a mug of joe to please every palate.

A glass case full of decadent treats gives you something to 'marvel' at besides comics. Muffins, cookies, scones, and tarts are just several of the available options.

Young and old alike have a blast selecting a cake pop adorned with the logo of their favorite superhero. Carefully take your pick - they just might be charged with special powers!
