This Is The Absolute Best Dessert In Texas And Where To Get It

Known for their chocolate-covered potato chips, Twinkies, Oreos, and other interesting goodies, you might be surprised to know that The Chocolate Bar in Houston actually has much better offerings. Decadent desserts of all kinds - pies, cakes, cheesecakes, mousse cakes, and everything else under the sun can be found here. Take a look at some of their most scrumptious treats that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth:

In addition to the plethora of unique, handmade chocolates they're known for, The Chocolate Bar also serves up some of the most delicious cake in Texas.

This is the "Any Day's a Holiday" cake, which is four alternating layers of chocolate and yellow cake held together by an icebox frosting.

Cheesecake is also one of their specialties. This one is chocolate raspberry, but they also offer oreo, turtle fudge, tuxedo (white chocolate with an oreo crust and milk chocolate swirls), and chocolate strawberry.

Uncle Daryl's cake will satisfy even the most intense sweet tooth, with four layers of chocolate cake separated by chocolate mousse and covered with a dark chocolate ganache. Topped with toffee bits and chocolate chips, every bite will send you further into a state of bliss.

This is the turtle cheesecake I mentioned earlier. How scrumptious does it look?

If you've never had a mousse cake before, you've been missing out. Their Black Russian is Kahlua-infused chocolate mousse surrounded by dark chocolate ganache and topped with chocolate-covered espresso beans.

Night and Day is one of their best sellers. With dark chocolate cake, white chocolate icing, chocolate ganache, and dark chocolate chips, it's no surprise why!

Pies can also be found on the menu. Mmmm, just look at how thick that slice is...

The Chocolate Bar has locations at 1835 West Alabama St and 2521 University Blvd in Houston. Visit their website for more information about hours and additional menu options.
