Marcy Jo's Mealhouse and Bakery is a tiny, locally owned eatery that's situated in a former general store on the outskirts of Nashville. The Columbia, Tennessee, hot spot is a true legend when it comes to southern hospitality and classic eats.
The interior is both homey and unique, with out-of-state license plates adorning the walls and mismatched tables and chairs making up a majority of the restaurant's seating.
Traditional southern fare is prevalent on the menu, with everything from biscuits and gravy to fried chicken served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Make sure to check the menu for their daily specials, if you'd like to snag an indulgent meal for under $10.
Is there anything better than a classic southern breakfast? We think not. Of course, it's the cinnamon rolls and pecan sticky buns that really take the cake here at Marcy Jo's. The eatery is famous for their morning pastries, that have even been featured on a national level by the Food Network.
Just take a moment and think about what a perfect morning could be spent with a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll. Doesn't it look decadent? Cinnamon rolls and sticky buns cost $4.95 for a single bun, and pans of each are also available.
If your stomach can handle it, the pecan sticky bun is also a decadent treat. There's even a hidden dollop of cream cheese hiding inside!
