When a restaurant has been around for a while, it will go from loved to iconic. Fox & Locke in Leiper’s Fork has gone through a few changes over the years, but they have been around for a while. They are a key part of their little village, and the people that make up this area really understand the community. At the center of everything happening in town is Fox & Locke. Since 1947, this little building was the hub of everything that happened in Leiper’s Fork; however, it started as a general store.

When Jack Fox and Martin Locke opened a general merchandise store, it quickly brought people together. They outgrew the building and moved across the street where it sits today. Then in 1960, the Puckett Family bought the grocery store and changed its name. In 2002, live music was introduced and now has become legendary, with many artists performing each week. In 2022, an announcement was made that the old name was going to be returning to pay homage to the great history of this community hub. So today, you will see the name Fox & Locke proudly displayed.

Inside and outside seating are available, and both are busy with chatting friends, families enjoying a meal, and people collaborating over new and exciting projects.

This truly is a place where you can find community and people coming together to make the world a better place.

The star of the show, of course, is the live music.

Throughout the week, you will hear wailing guitars, twanging banjos, and tumbling bass. On the weekends, around lunchtime, you will hear live music you can enjoy while you visit, but there are also nightly shows. This music venue has become a popular spot for some big performers, so you will need to buy a ticket online before you go. If you see an artist you want to watch, make sure to get a ticket because they can sell out fast. Thursday nights have been reserved for an open mic, and you never know what up-and-coming artist might show up.

Meals at Fox & Locke are filled with Southern flavors.

You can start your day with a delicious and hearty Southern breakfast. The local favorite is appropriately named "The Forker." Two fluffy buttermilk pancakes, two eggs cooked to order, and your choice of bacon or sausage start the day off right.

Come for some sweet tunes and lunch with several options. The famous cherrywood smoked pulled pork BBQ sandwich is a must during any visit to Fox & Locke.

Many notable artists have performed on stage at Fox & Locke.

Carrie Underwood surprised guests one night by jumping on the mic. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have also lent their voices and their talents to the beautiful sounds coming out of Leiper’s Fork.
