You’ll Love This Rooftop Restaurant In South Dakota That’s Beyond Gorgeous

You can have all of that and more at Vertex Sky Bar in Rapid City. The next time you're in the mood for a little bit of decadence, you need to check this place out!

Vertex Sky Bar is located on the top two floors of the Hotel Alex Johnson.

The rooftop level provides a 360-degree view of Rapid City. From your perch high above the city, you can see the Black Hills, the brontosaurus on Dinosaur Hill and even the prairie far off in the east.

Even in chilly weather, you can still cozy up next to the outdoor fireplace and heaters.

The Art-Deco style of the historic Alex Johnson Hotel is carried through this restaurant and bar, which blends old with new.

The Hotel Alex Johnson was completed in 1928, and though these floors have been completely renovated, they still include plenty of rich woods and decadent fabrics, in an opulent 1930s style.

Even if you're dining inside, the view is still incredible.

Come for the view...stay for the food! The menu here is just full of decadent choices. Start with the Bacon Wrapped Lobster Brochette.

Add a salad to your meal; they're fresh and tasty.

The Tiger-Striped Shrimp are delicious.

Filet Mignon with asparagus and a red-wine demi glazae will make your meal complete.

Save room for the Towering Inferno - a classic creme brulee.
