The Old West is alive and well in the Mount Rushmore State! While the streets are (thankfully) no longer filled with gunslingers, brothels, and colorful saloons, South Dakota still boasts a few of these original, old-time businesses, including this restaurant with Old West roots that date back to the 1900s:
Welcome to the aptly-named Legends Steakhouse!
Located in Deadwood, Legends Steakhouse is housed inside the Silverado Franklin complex, which was built in 1902 and opened in 1903, and has remained a town icon ever since.
Since it first opened, Legends Steakhouse and the Silverado Franklin have welcomed many Old West - well, legends - including Buffalo Bill Cody, Calamity Jane, and Seth Bullock (pictured).
When you visit Legends, you will find several nods to the restaurant's past, most notable, of which, are photos of famous patrons.
While the restaurant's history is legendary enough, the food manages to take it to the next level, thanks to such delicious entrees as steak, prime rib, roasted chicken, and various seafood dishes.
To learn more about Legends Steakhouse, please visit the Silverado Franklin's website.
Legends Steakhouse is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for breakfast and Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner.
