The next time you visit Mitchell, be sure to set aside time for not only the palace and the town's other unique shopping opportunities and attractions but also for enjoying authentic Mexican fare, including:

1. Los 3 Amigos

For a dining experience that is not only mouth-wateringly delicious but also incredibly clean (as per countless customer reviews), run, don't walk, to Los 3 Amigos, which specializes in all of your favorites (including that tasty grilled chicken on the right)!

2. El Columpio Mexican Restaurant

They may be billed as serving fast food, but there is nothing generic or - well, fast food tasting - about El Columpio! While carry out or delivery is always an option, we recommend dining in, as the ambiance is just as enjoyable as the authentic entrees.

3. La Tequilera Mexican Food

Is it just me, or can you, too, smell the delicious food in this picture? Side note: While you really cannot go wrong with anything from La Tequilera, our go-to is the juicy chicken tacos (or, really, any of their tacos). Yum!

4. Corona Village

Last but certainly not least on our list of the best Mexican restaurants in Mitchell is the one and only Corona Village, home of - what I believe to be - the best nachos in the Mount Rushmore State! In addition to the nachos, Corona Village also serves a mean assortment of plates and platters, seafood dishes, and all of your favorite traditional entrees.
