This Rhode Island Brewery In A Former Macaroni Factory Is An Unforgettable Weekend Destination

Grey Sail Brewing in Rhode Island, located in a former macaroni factory, offers a unique and relaxing brewery experience.

For a small state, Rhode Island has a pretty fantastic brewery scene. Around the areas of Providence and Pawtucket, you can hop from one brewery to the next in a matter of minutes. But at some point, you'll want to hit the highway and head to the western side of the state to visit a very unique beer making location. This Rhode Island brewery found its home in a former macaroni factory and it's a one-of-a-kind destination.

Grey Sail Brewing brewed their first batch of Flagship Ale in the former Westerly Macaroni Factory. This 1920s building that once processed grains to make pasta now turns grains into beer.

Flagship Ale was the first beer produced by Grey Sailing Brewing in 2011. Since then the brewery has released a variety of year-round and seasonal offerings that Rhode Islanders love.

While the brewery itself had always been open for tastings and growler fills, a taproom was added to expand the enjoyment. Located in a historic home, at the same complex as the brewery, you can visit to taste, enjoy, and relax.

Discover the unique brews of Grey Sail. From the original Flagship Ale to Dave's Coffee Stout, there is something for every beer drinker's palate.

Inside the tasting room, you'll find cozy and old-fashioned decor. Tables allow plenty of space for socializing, playing cards, or even setting up a board game.

During the warmer months, the outdoor space becomes the coveted location. Hangout on the patio or compete in some friendly backyard games.

This brewery is so fun and relaxing that you will feel far, far away from everyday life without ever leaving Rhode Island!
