Don’t Let Summer Pass You By Without A Treat From Cool Licks Creamery In Rhode Island

Cool Licks Creamery in North Providence is a beloved ice cream stand known for its unique soft serve flavors and year-round service.

Much like a cup of your favorite ice cream, summer goes by way too fast. Luckily, we've still got some sunny days ahead of us... or as we like to call it, ice cream weather. And while the sun doesn't have to be shining to enjoy a tasty treat from Cool Licks Creamery, it certainly doesn't hurt.

Cool Licks Creamery is located in a little roadside stand in North Providence.

And while the ice cream shop is open all year, it stays perpetually packed in the summertime.

Cool Licks first opened in 1995, and they've been keeping Providence ice cream lovers happy ever since.

Not much has changed here in 25 years (including the prices), and that's just the way they like it.

This place is especially well known for serving the most delicious soft serve, which comes in some pretty unique flavors.

From fruity flavors to chocolate and salted caramel, picking a soft serve flavor is no easy task. They even sell a Dole Whip (Disneyworld style) made from non-dairy soft serve.

But if the hard scoop variety is more your style, you'll be happy to know they do that, too.

It seems as if they add more rotating flavors to the menu every year.

Cool Licks has won numerous local contests and awards for having the best ice cream and service ever.

And since they offer a few frozen yogurt options that are at least 97% fat-free, you can always enjoy a treat here without any worries.

Have we mentioned that the team here will make your dog a special ice cream treat?

Needless to say, the canines of Rhode Island are especially fond of this place.

Cool Licks Creamery is open daily from noon until 9:30 p.m.

Get in line early (and keep your distance from others), because you might have a long wait. It will be worth it.
