About six years ago, a charming bistro opened its doors in Warren, serving coastal New England interpretations of Old World flavors and techniques -- in other words, delicious food. Needless to say, it was an instant hit.

Bywater has continued to grow and change over time, adding a bakeshop, wine club, and more. And since they've been so resourceful over the last year with their family to-go meals and new parking lot patio, it's safe to say this place has some serious staying power.

Bywater is located at 54 State Street in Warren, where it has been since its June 2015 opening.

The concept was simple: good food and great drinks by the water.

During the 2020 pandemic, the team at Bywater expanded their outdoor seating area.

The parking lot patio was an instant hit, allowing patrons a safe, beautiful, sunny space to dine.

The dinner menu consists mainly of a small selection of rotating entrees, ranging from steaks and seafood to burgers and pasta.

Once a week, Bywater has dollar oyster night, which is a great (and delicious) deal.

A restaurant with its own wine club should be expected to have good wine -- and this place has top quality vino, beer, and cocktails.

They offer plenty of non-alcoholic beverages as well.

Don't even dream of leaving this place without grabbing something from the bake shop.

You can order your sweet treats ahead online or simply shop when you arrive. You can even pre-order bread from the Saturday Morning Market in Bristol, where the Bywater team sells baguettes and other baked bread.
