Roger Williams Park Zoo has been a beloved local treasure since its 1872 opening. These days, the zoo is home to animals from all over the world, and it also hosts some fantastic seasonal events. And we highly recommend checking out the zoo before the 4th of July. The Asian Lantern Spectacular exhibit is in full swing, and it's an enchanting experience you won't want to miss.

Roger Williams Park Zoo is the third oldest zoo in the entire nation.

It was also the first zoo in New England to earn accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

This zoo-wide walk-through event is truly remarkable.

The Asian Lantern Spectacular features over 50 stunning glowing lantern displays and a children's interactive lantern area.

Guests can also enjoy hand-crafted gifts and keepsakes and tasty Asian-inspired cuisine and drinks.

The exhibit is produced by Hanart Culture, and the proceeds go to support the zoo’s ongoing animal care, education programs and conservation initiatives.

You can experience this beautiful exhibit Wednesday - Saturday from 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. The last admission is at 9 p.m.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $23 for children ( with a small discount for zoo members) and must be purchased online in advance.
